Dr. Rana serves as a member of Fellowship Program Development Task Force Committee of the American College of Phlebology. He received his fellowship training in minimally invasive vein treatments from Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at NYU Medical Center in New York. Before moving to New York, Dr. Rana completed a National Institute of Health sponsored Fellowship training in vascular medicine at, Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Wake Forest University Medical Center in North Carolina.
Dr. Rana also holds a Masters degree in Health Sciences from Wake Forest University. He has published in leading peer reviewed medical journals and has authored or co-authored several book chapters including one for the American College of Phlebology textbook entitled “Endovenous Ablation in the Management of Varicose Veins.” This chapter serves as a valuable resource for physicians treating pateints with varicose veins throughout the United States. At NYU Medical Center, Dr. Rana was involved in training other physicians to treat patients with a wide variety of venous diseases.
Dr. Rana is a recipient of the prestigious NIH K-12 grant to be a leader in vascular medicine providing comprehensive care to patients with arterial, venous and lymphatic diseases.
